Hi! I'm Rachel. I grew up in Saint Petersburg, Florida. I moved to New York in 2013, where I earned my BA in Creative Writing from The New School. After graduation, I moved back to my hometown to pursue my MFA in Creative Nonfiction at the University of South Florida, where I currently work as an instructor of first-year composition.

In addition to writing, I've worked in the service industry for fourteen years, and much of my work centers around food, labor, and class. My writing also attempts to explore my identity as a southerner and a Floridian woman, as well as the cultural history of rural and coastal Florida.
